About the 2nd IFLP & the 4th ICDSOS
The Indonesia Forum on Labour and Productivity (IFLP) & International Conference on Data Science and Official Statistics (ICDSOS) 2026 is a joint international conference bringing together researchers, policymakers, academics, statisticians, and practitioners to discuss emerging issues in labour, productivity, data science, and official statistics. This conference is jointly hosted by the Centre for Manpower Policy Development (Ministry of Manpower) and Politeknik Statistika (STIS).
Under the theme “Breaking the Informality Trap: Using Official Statistics to Drive Policy Reforms for Decent, Productive and Inclusive Employment”, the conference focuses on the persistent challenges of labour informality and its implications for productivity, social protection, and employment quality. It seeks to deepen understanding of the factors that sustain informality and explore policy pathways toward more formal, decent, productive, and inclusive employment.
A key emphasis of the conference is the role of reliable official statistics and data science in transforming evidence into effective policy action. Through keynote speeches, panel discussions, and research presentations, participants will explore innovative approaches to labour market measurement, data analysis, productivity, policy evaluation, and the use of emerging technologies to better understand rapidly changing labour markets.
Ultimately, IFLP & ICDSOS 2026 aims to strengthen the connection between data, research, and policymaking while fostering international collaboration and knowledge exchange. By bringing diverse perspectives together, the conference seeks to contribute to evidence-based reforms and support the development of labour policies that create decent, productive, and inclusive employment opportunities for all.
